Things got all cray cray up in the cube today.
One of my co-workers got married November 9. He is 28. Youngest guy in the office. He started with us as an intern while still in grad school. The rest of us are late 30’s to late 40’s, and have all been with the company 10 plus years. Because of this the intern (as he is still called even though he has been a real employee for like two or three years), gets a lot of ribbing.
Today’s prank, continued the trend.
Step one... gather all the pink.
As i was saying, “the intern” got married on 11/9. He comes back to work 11/19 after some pre wedding time off, the big day and his mini moon. We all decided we should ”decorate” his cube.
First we made some pink and white paper pom poms.
So pretty.... 😄
Next step, string the pom poms across the cube. I am not sure if you can tell, but we also wrapped his computer monitors like wedding packages. On the back of his chair is a ”just married” sign with a wedding picture of my co-worker and his new wife. We also tied cans and bottles to the back of his chair. Much like folks used to do to wedding getaway cars in the old days.
The project is coming along.
Now here is where the real crazy starts. We decided to FILL my co-workers cube with balloons. We 100% underestimated the number of balloons required to fill a cube.
This sad number (about 40-50) wasn’t doing the trick.
I ran to the store and bought 140 more balloons.

KAPOW!!!💥
From above
There are over 200 balloons here. I think it would have taken another 60 to 80 balloons to fill the cube completely.
Me lording over my handy work. Out of these balloons I probably blew up about 140. You would be amazed at how tiring that is. I’M ALREADY IN BED. It’s 8:30pm. 😄😂🤣 😴 💤
