In ancient time at Madhyapur thimi,Bhaktapur Nepal,Evils always used to terrify the local peoples. People always try to escape from evils,but couldnot.

Then after many efforts,they go to consult with Tantriks(People with magical and god power).Tantrik gives sugggestion to organize a Bhairav Dance."Bhairav" is One of the Scary and powerful incarnation of Lord Shiva.

Bhairav Dance is performed in the month of August in Madhyapur Thimi after four days of Gaijatra.

Here,The Dancers dances in the Live Music of Traditional Newari Instruments and after dancing ,God enters into the body of dancers and they starts Shivering in anger.
When Shivering,dancers lose their sense and become unconscious....
Shivering can long last from 5 minutes to 3 hours...
One interesting fact is,Once this dance is started,it shouldnot be stopped even in the Heavy Rain...
