Coronation Ceremony in Yoruba land is one of their tradition. In every community there is always a leader, the 001 in the community, i.e the first leader is called the King.

Coronation ceremony is an event done formally to pronounce or install a king on the throne of their forefathers as the leader of the community. This ceremony shows that the people in the community, other leaders(Oba) and head of state accept the new King as their leader. There is always enough food and drinks. people rejoice, dance and are very happy during this event.
