In another age, many current incels would have happily been priests. In our current woke feminist society a growing population of men are involuntarily celibate, unable to find female mates or get married or have children. And it goes both ways—many females have the same problems (though they are not self-aware enough to realize their sacred feminism is to blame). Incels blame their problems on women, feminism, and equal rights of the sexes.
Women today are too busy working to devote time to finding a mate and starting a family. Plus, because of women entering the workforce, men aren't making as much money or getting as many promotions, so they are less likely to meet the overly high standards women have for potential mates. "They have to make more money and be higher status than me," they say. There were many more such men before the workforce was doubled by women. Now, not so much.
Incels also blame the wokeism, with women often being the most woke and most devoted to social justice movements—which they use as a cipher replacement for caring for the families they don't have for reasons stated above. Woke women continually blame men for all the supposed injustices in society, and are therefore increasingly not interested in men at all.
Incels are not wrong in these assessments. Feminism and wokeism are certainly part of the reason why they are involuntarily celibate. If society were to return to more traditional values, many of the current girlboss feminists would happily become stay-at-home mothers. But also, with a return to traditional values, many current incels would not marry trad wives. Instead they would become priests.
The loss of traditional values and religion has not just affected women, but also men. In past ages, many of these autist-types—the super online incels who go deep into esoteric reading about psychology, science, history, and philosophy—are exactly the types of men who would have been priests in the past. Instead of 4Chan poasters living in their parent's basement, they'd be monks living in a monastery, devoting their lives to studying the ancient texts of the Church and sharing their wisdom with the normies in their community—just as the online incels today who do their online research and share their wisdom on Twitter or message boards.
Many such incels would have been priests, and they might be happier living similar voluntarily celibate lives today, whether or not they choose to actually join the Church. Other incels would have been soldiers, grunts who died on the front lines at the age of 18. Actual priesthood is a viable option for some, but many other current incels could be volcels with another calling. Forego mating and marriage and devote their lives to a higher cause: a life of the mind. Many of history's greatest artists, writers, scientists, and philosophers did just this: Newton, Nietzsche, Tesla, Lovecraft.
But modern volcels cannot merely post memes and hot takes; they must aspire to the heights of those thinkers from the past. Take the wisdom and knowledge they acquire through their esoteric internet studies and produce a great work to share with the normies, be it visual art, a book, film, or song. It is these same creatively-inclined autistic incels who can help change the culture of the masses and return it to more traditional values where the other incels can finally unite with their ex-feminists turned trad wives. But a certain number of men are always meant to be priests.
