The province of Aceh is known for its culture, tourism, culinary and historical buildings. Like Seudati dance, this dance is played by all men. There is one of Seudati's most unique dances, all of her dance performers poetry and pat her chest.
Not only is her dance unique, but her outfits are also unique. All players use white shirts and scarves waisted and use head pads.
When the dance takes place, usually two people who become leaders to sing the poem. Then after the leader sang the poem, all the dancers also sang the poem simultaneously while tapping his chest.
HISTORY ON SEUDATI DANCE TRADITIONAL
This dance originally developed in an area called Gigieng Village, District Simpang Tiga, Pidie District, which raised by Tam Tam. Furthermore, this seudati dance also developed in Didoh Village, Mutiara Sub-district, Pidie District, under the care of Sheikh Ali Didoh. In its journey, this seudati dance is quite developed in North Aceh, Pidie, and also East Aceh, and to this day can even be found in all areas of Aceh.
Dance seudati usual held at certain moments, such as cultural exhibitions, festivals, events, customs and cultural week of Indonesia.
But over the times, this dance is almost extinct and rarely played. It's just that there are certain events and cultural festivals. This factor that makes this dance increasingly disappearing era to the era, did not rule out if one day will be extinct.
