-=- This topic is actually a very interesting, albeit disturbing, one. It is actually something I just ran into recently. I had been looking for different job opportunities and came across this site that allowed people to bit for contract work. Almost everyone who won a bid was in a third world country and most of them were won at less than $7 an hour. But one of the things about this site was that they also had a contest section as described in this post. I almost considered trying some of them out, then realized how they were really taking advantage in this process.
Though this can be looked at from the positive side for the business. Most business' cannot afford to pay for professional graphics nor have someone on staff to handle these types of jobs.
Also we do this type of thing on the Steem community. We do a lot of work at a discount for the community. So this is idea of contest and discounted work fair?-=-
