We are a gaming community that focuses on high-quality content and as such we have grown into a powerhouse of amazing gaming authors as a result. This might be the first time you are hearing our name Archdruid Gaming as we are newer and still working on a lot of things. In the coming weeks and months ahead you can expect to start seeing and hearing a lot more of us.
This is our first issue of something new that is rolling out -- Author Showcase. Every week we will be taking a look at some amazing posts that our community members have created. Showing the ones that we felt really emphasize the spirit of our community in: effort, uniqueness, quality, and a range of other things we look for in a post. Sometimes they will be hand pick by me while other times the Sages in our community wanted to bring more attention to something amazing a community member has created.

In his post Ocean survival manual he goes over showing you the ropes of trying to survive in a game called Raft. Everything from capturing supplies with a hook to build up the raft you are living on. You even have to do things like distilling water for drinking, and even fishing for food. He even lets you know about the shark! Yes, this game has a shark that tries to destroy your raft and cause issues.
I really loved how he showcases the different game mechanics. Gives you a sense of time and progression by including what day it along with other things. It is also a great tutorial for someone who starting out fresh in this game and feeling lost or overwhelmed by what to do.

In his bilingual post called Nintendo @ E3 we get to read about Daemon X Machina, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pokemon, and so much more. He breaks down the games and features that came out of that conference. This is exactly why I did not need to watch the conference with wonderful posts like this clue me in on the best of the best. With wonderful formatting to showcase the content as he lures the reader deeper and deeper into his detailed and amazing in length post.

He lets the reader know outside of the dark undertone and its cringe-worthy moments in overplaying stereotypes that this game is amazing. He showcases something that is rather different about this game in having to change seasons to progress and uncover things. Even better at the end of his review, he includes a score and a synopsis of the game itself.
Author 4
While he writes about other games as well he often returns back to a game called Paladins. In his Review of the champion Ying he gives the reader his first impressions, the style the champion has, and takes a deep dive into things. You get to learn the strengths and weaknesses in a way only someone with a deeper understanding of a game can give.
Author 5
In an indie game he wrote a review on called Gone Home he gets the hooks into his reader near the start by poking some fun at how gaming company, reviews, and even gamers come up with these over the top ways to describe things. He then goes in for the audience he wants to target this review for. In part, for this review, those with nostalgic ties to the 80’s along with some other things as well.

Found himself like many gamers frustrated by games needless mechanics that don’t seem to live up to what the developers must have hopped it would. In his post called Walking Segments in Video Games, he creates a conversion on why long boring walks in video games should be a thing of the past. I think most of the gamers can agree sometimes the developer needs to include more details, side questing, and just making the world look more lived in. Walking for long amounts of time is just not a luxury we seem to have these days in our busy lives.
If you find yourself having some time make sure get in on some of the conversations started in the comment sections.

Right off the bat in his review of Assassins Creed: Origins, you know he is disappointed by a number of things in the game. He has some completing comparison in what makes some things underwhelming when looking at how other games did something. He also takes a moment to stop and highlight the good as well.
Overall creates great balanced reviews of games. By letting the reader really know what is great and what missed the mark entirely. He seems like a great source to trust when you are not quite sure if you want to buy a game or not.

showcase one of the fun things it is about writing about video games. You are not just limited to game reviews or yet another tips and tips guide. You can have a lot more fun with it. Really get into that game and choose to show it off another way with a playthrough among other things.
In his Call of Duty Strike Team Walkthrough you get to enjoy the game from the point of view of a gamer as he moves thought out it post at a time. This happens to be part 2 it gives a lot more detail than just a review could do on its own. You can to see and enjoy the more raw experience of a mission and the outcome of it.
Things could go horribly wrong or wonderful right. With this kind of approach in showing a game you just won’t know till the end of it. This one certainly will keep you wanting to come back for another episode.
Author 9
In 'Kantai Collection' vs. 'Azur Lane' he compares and contrasts two different games that have a similar focal point around anthropomorphized objects. He talks about one of the saddest moment in gaming which really hits home for readers who are gamers. As we have all had those hard moments of losing something we work so hard for. A moment of silence for the lost submarine.
Author 10
In his game review ROLL THE BALL a sliding puzzle style of game. He walks you through a couple of puzzles, Showcases the game's features and even lets you know who he thinks this game target audience is. This is great for anyone looking for a quick android game to pick up and play today.
