You know your face because you often see it in the mirror, there is a mirror in which you can see yourself completely, your face but all your thoughts and feelings, motivations, tastes, desires and fears. This mirror is the mirror of relationships. Relationships between you or your parents, between you and your educators, between you and the river, the trees, the land, and between you and your thoughts. Relationships are a mirror in which you can see yourself, the way you want to be, but the way you really are.
I may want to look beautiful when I look in the mirror, but it does not happen because the mirror reflects my face as it is and I can not deceive myself. In the mirror of relationships with others, I see myself as I am. I can look at how I talk to people, treat people who I think can give me something very polite, and treat others violently or insultingly. I am cautious about people I am afraid of. I get up in front of important people, but I do not pay any attention when a waiter enters. So by observing my behavior with others, I realize that my respect for others is artificial and I can identify with my relationship with trees, birds, ideas, and books.
You may have the highest academic degrees in the world, but if you do not know yourself, you are the stupidest people. Self-knowledge is the main reason for education, collecting facts and taking notes just to pass exams without affecting self-knowledge is the stupidest way of life. You may be able to quote from the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Qur'an, or the Bible, but if you do not know yourself, you are like a parrot repeating words. While even if you know your particles, the construction phase begins. Suddenly you see yourself as you are, greedy, seditionist, angry, jealous and stupid. Seeing the truth without trying to change it is an amazing discovery. From there you can go further and further because the stage of self-knowledge has no end.
You will discover the existence of God through your knowledge and you will find the truth. Your coach will teach you what he has learned from his coach and you will pass the exam and get a degree, but without knowing yourself as you see the lines of your face in the mirror, your information is worthless. Educated people who do not know themselves are actually ignorant because they do not know what thinking means and what life is. Therefore, educators need to be educated in the true sense of the word, which means that they must be aware of the work of their minds and hearts and see themselves in the mirror of relationships with others. Self-knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. Self-knowledge encompasses the whole world and all the struggles for humanity.
