I've also been itching to geometricise an animal for a really long time. When I came across the word antelope, I knew there was no turning back from it. I'm quite happy with this one. I would generally paint the watercolours before inking but I was inspired to use them only after completing the drawing and so I went for it anyway. The triangle came at the end, because they're my favourite shape, and fit perfectly here.

I Spent Today Learning Something New
Gem Trails: Environments One - Morning Beach
For years as a touring musician, artist and traveler experiencing the world through various environments and quick dips into foreign cultures it struck me that the sounds of each surrounding played a huge part in the make of of each place's collective sub conscience. I began collecting field recordings and samples from these environments and layering ambient guitar & electronic compositions over the top. I call the series simply "Environments", modeled after the great late 60's & 1970s Warner Music released series of the same name.

For those of us, sci-fi aficionados, mixing robots and artificial intelligence is a scary combination. We watched Battlestar Galactica. We know what happens when machines evolve. In Battlestar Galactica, intelligent robots called Cylons almost destroyed mankind in a 1,000-year war.

Acrylic Paintings
Over the years I worked a lot with traditional tools like pencils, paint and ink. Being new to this platform and having loads of art I wanted to show I will try to post artworks that kind of are made in the same time span or in the same kind of genre. The two paintings in this blog are made in the same year 2016. I started more but they never got finished. As I was used to draw a lot with pencils and no color this was really out of my comfort zone. I used linework with ink and combined it with acrylics and a little bit of markers.
Creating Art in the Deep South
I call my art style "Subconscious Meandering" because I basically let my mind wander when I create, with little thought to subject matter or composition. During the course of creating a piece of "art", various ideas begin to coalesce and take shape before my eyes. I definitely enjoy this process, and even though I do many things in a similar style, every single thing I do is an unexpected adventure.
