AutoSteem has been a great project and I'm continually working hard to improve it. I've made some minor updates recently to fix a number of issues with the filters and voting modes. They were not all working for everyone over the last week or two and unfortunately, caused some frustration and headaches for users and me! With many bug fixes and hours spent, though, I wanted to help share a bit of the updates and some simple ways to get started using Autosteem.
Recent Updates
The voting page that shows the "Latest Blog on Steemit", now shows up to 10 images from the post, so you can easily see photo collections if you want to manually upvote them immediately or add to your vote Q for a delayed vote.
Voting Filters displays on the voting page to show matches, no matches, filters turned off or paused filters from low voting power.
View Filters to show matches or no matches for your custom views
In Autosteem's Browsing mode, links for author and Post Titles now open in new tabs, to keep autosteem running and active.
Filters have an automatic validation when Autosteem starts, and added or corrects missing or blank parameters. This was caused from previous versions having less filters and parameters, which autosteem now handles automatically of course. :)
fixed a bug where the browser would jump back to page 1 when it starting loading more content at the end of your page list (for the content view)
the Comments View now shows the latest comment at the top, with your filter applied to show the colors for match (green) and no match (red) on the author, tag and message for each comment.
AutoSteem Basics:
- Autosteem is an automation tool for voting, curating and better browsing of Steemit!
- Its an application that runs in your browser and only needs your posting key, which is secured in the browser only, so never uploaded to any server
- You can browse steemit, review photos with photo cards, image galleries and custom filtered views for each, even comments.
- There are some powerful filters to to setup and turn on and off for auto voting (with 3 modes):
Advanced AutoVoting
This is actually the most advanced filter. It lets you configure a range of parameters to define what gets voted. Any match gets added to the voteQ, and it waits until the blog is at least the age you specify using "Delay Minutes". This ensures you vote an optimal time AFTER the post to maximize curation rewards. Ideally, you vote at 30 minutes, but are still one of the first voters.
This filter lets you define minimum reputation, vesting shares, image counts and many other things to set the rules for the vote.
Favorite Blogs
This is a much easier filter to use, since it has less options, and it is used to auto vote any blog from your favorite authors, but still using a delay after the blog is created, to maximize curation rewards.
You can copy a list of followers/following from those views in autosteem, or enter your own list of authors. Just build a list, separated by commas for each author and it will vote for them. You do NOT need to use the @ for any author names.
Smart Copy
This is the simplest autovote mode, but a little less personal. You just tell it which authors to copy and it does just that, copies all of their votes so you don't have to setup anything else, just leave AutoSteem running.
Getting Started
The easiest is to setup your favorite authors (comma separate the list), and start the favorite blogs filter. If you want you can also turn on the copy filter and copy me or any other authors to improve your curation rewards.
Then check the voting page as blogs are posted you will see something like this:
You should see when a blog post matches the column for the blog voting filter (which only checks authors so you won't see it very often for your favorite authors) but you can also turn on the advanced filter and check what items are matching. Once they are all green, that post should be added to the voteQ below. Then when the delay time is met, and all the columns go green to match your advanced filter, it will be vote automatically.
Use the Vote History to see all votes that have happened.
View Filters
These filters are used from the comments view, photos view and blogs view pages. They allow you build a custom views to only show the content you want when review everything that AutoSteem has captured for you. You can then search those pages, page through them and clear the content when you've seen it all and want to start collecting again fresh.
Views
Once AutoSteem has been running for a while, you can then review content or search it in the comments, blogs and photo view. The photo view has a full image gallery which opens per post for reviewing the images full screen as well!
Here are what the other views look like for images:

Browsing Mode
The browsing mode in Autosteem lets you view some image based cards to help you curate the content you love. You can vote directly from the cards or link to the title to view and comment on steemit.
You can view hot, new and trending content, as well author feeds and blogs or specific content tags, all which you can customize for your convenience.
What Features Would You Like to See?
I hope to keep adding and improving AutoSteem and so am happy to see more people using it. I have a lot of additional ideas, like automated follower/following tools as part of steemit, as I think it could be really powerful as well as some nice user search tools to help find users of interest.
I hope to eventually add commenting and full page views as well, but I've been focused more on the automation tools that just don't exist elsewhere yet for steemit, so I'd love to hear your ideas, feedback and suggestions? What do you think?
