Hello friends of Stemit, today I share with you a little of the meaning and origin of the expression "To throw the sticks".
Some years ago, the planters made the tablets with the stamp of the hacienda that the peons could change in the cellars.
Instead of several, I prefer to exchange the liquor, so I asked for "a stick" of miche, rum, etc. When he said that he had squandered the tablets or sticks, they said "throw me my sticks".
Since then the Venezuelan uses this expression to indicate that he has taken liquor.
