It tolls for thee Men‘s Health and your 30 day kettlebell program! I had to do it. I love being able to follow a pre-scripted, day-by-day plan to achieve a fitness challenge but the more research I‘ve done on kettlebells, the more I realized I could go the whole 30 days and still not experience some of the most fundamental kettlebell exercises, like Goblet Squat and Kettlebell Deadlift.
So, we broke up. Sorry Men‘s Health, it‘s not you it‘s me. I need a more traditional kettlebell coach in my life. Enter (or rather re-enter) CoachGPT! We met over coffee and came up with the perfect series of exercise routines that include all the kettlebell standards plus some basic yoga poses. Here is today‘s workout:
- Mountain Pose
- Kettlebell Deadlift (3 sets of 10)
- Downward-Facing Dog
- Kettlebell Swing (3 sets of 10)
- Child‘s Pose
Each weekday I will swap out the non-Swing exercise for something new (eg, tomorrow I will do 3 sets of Goblet Squat instead of Kettlebell Deadlift) because the Swing is the ultimate and most fundamental one-exercise-to-rule-them-all so it remains as the anchor to this plan.
Don‘t worry, Men‘s Health and I are still friends but the glutes want what the glutes want. ❤️
