My metabolism is broken. At least, that is my theory as I have battled (and lost) a gradual increase in my weight over the last ten years. I have read so many books and watched so many videos trying to find the “fix” and it is my conclusion that there are two fundamental warring factions: keto and vegan.
These two camps have educated, articulate, adult-in-the-room evengelists that will cite peer-reviewed research for their position (and against their mortal enemy, the other camp). Accordingly, is impossible to choose up sides based on credibility. So instead, I’m going lab rat. Before God, the blockchain, and everyone I am committing to a pure keto diet for the month of October. I mean, what’s the wurst that can happen right?
I’ll check in here from time to time over the next thirty days as I measure my weight loss/gain, sleep quality, energy level, and clarity of thought. I will also share any knowledge or insights I gain as I continue to research “clean keto” best practices. So let the low carb / high fat games begin, and In the words of the great philosopher Pumbaa: here’s to putting my behind in the past!
