Most of my day today, like most lately, I was quite physically inactive. Reading, writing, eating and Netflixing.
However, around 5.30 pm, with the sun still high but the heat of the day waning a little, I decided it was time to get off my arse and cycle to the lake for a swim.
I went to the compost heap for a pee before I left and decided to check the temperature. It needs to be between 120 and 140 F to do the job properly. Last week it had finally got up to 115 F (after adding a bunch of green leaves, wood ash and urine, so I thought it was progressing well. But this week it had been dropping lower again, only 97 today.
Buzz
I noticed a small wild plum tree beside the compost had got quite big and was shading the compost, so out came the chainsaw.
A few minutes later, job done!
So, down to the cellar where I keep the bike, pump some air in the back tire and I'm ready to roll.
Spin
Off for a spin. The lake is about four miles away and it takes me twenty minutes to get there.
Sink
No sinking for me. That will come in part 2 (maybe tomorrow).
Swim
No one around (except in the distance) so I strip off and off for a swim. Some breast stroke, some backstroke and some floating meditation, for around twenty minutes.
The journey home took about 35 minutes as it's more uphill and I stopped several times to take some pictures.
Nice horses!
Nice flowers!

Derelict house, yours for probably around 2000 Euros. There are lots of abandoned properties in Bulgaria. Just need to track down the owner, agree price, buy and renovate. That's what I did (although mine was in much better condition, the renovation having already started, and I found it through an agent).
Riding school. 5 Euros a lesson. I've not taken one yet. Perhaps I will.
Home in time for sunset.
