La Course by Le Tour de France

Thanks to everyone who entered my #bicyclephotocontest last week! I have been really busy with a rush project since the contest closed on Thursday, but I will announce the winners in a post on Monday. There were many great photos submitted, and it's definitely not an easy job narrowing down to three winners. Since I think more than three are deserving, I plan to include a few honorable mentions who will receive partial SBD prizes. Like I said...look for the selected winners on Monday.

Today for the Hive account@photocontests #SportsPhotography theme, I am sharing a shot from the 2014 La Course women's race, which was held on the Champs-Élysées the morning of the final stage of the Tour de France. 2014 was the first year for La Course, and it was very exciting to be there for the inaugural race.

Taken with my little Canon G12... not an ideal camera for sports photography, but it was the one I had with me.
