This is my attempt to regain cycling fitness with the help of fellow Steemians. By posting my regular ride statistics and workouts, I hope to motivate others and myself to get on the saddle more often and keep them pedals spinning!

Stormy noon and lazy tune!
The weather department had issued a Red Alert for North India. Massive dust storms were to hit the region these past couple of days. The dept. is consistent as the giant storms didn't materialise. I on the other hand, used the storms as an excuse to stay in bed instead of going out cycling.
Today, after a couple of days of lazying around I dragged myself out of bed and hopped onto the saddle. Even after ten minutes of pedalling, my eyes were still half closed and brain was completely shut! Yawn
This is a super nice left hander to take on my motorcycle. On my cycle, it is super slow!
There are days when you feel really energetic, this was not one of those days! It was all about pushing myself mentally. I have been working on a story (i like to write as well!) and needed the exercise to get my brain functioning. Once warmed up and up to speed, the ride was the perfect midweek kick on the butt to get going.
Ideas for the story were born, but quashed within a few pedal strokes, there was no inspiration to be found today. At the very least I got in a good ride. The legs felt good and a healthy average heart rate was there for the taking. On these days, I prefer having a riding partner, to motivate me to ride harder. When you are alone, you need to find the motivation within oneself.
