It was really a few bad actors so I'm not too worried. I'm planning on using hivewatcher's API in the future on the front-end to detect if a user is on the blacklist. If they are I can warn them, as well as have the back-end logic prevent posting. Unlinking a Hive account already has to happen manually and I like to keep it that way. It is just one of those things that prevent potential abuse, even if it's just a little bit, So in that compartment I'm okay, but thanks nonetheless , I appreciate the offer <3
I am flirting with the idea of taking user's reputation level on Hive into account as well. Like you need to be at least lvl 40 or 50 or something in that range. But I'm a bit hesitant on that one since it might prevent new people from creating a Hive account. That said, the reality is that abuse is sadly going to happen nonetheless if your app grows over time. But it's up to us to minimize it as much as possible
