Why forbidden? You may wonder. Well, let's just say that a section of the country is battling insecurities and fears. It used to be intense when it started around 2022. Named sit-at-home as a way of showing civil disobedience and solidarity for the political prosecution of someone championing the campaign for self actualisation of his people.
While it started as a subtle event, realising that it's been about 3 years now really upsets my stomach. Mondays in this part of the world is characterised by market closures as well as schools and other institutions not opened for business.
Anyway, the tension has reduced over time and people are more inclined to go out these days. I decided to take a quick picture of the area on a Monday. When compared to other days within the week about the same time, the human activities on the image is not up to 10% of what it feels like.
