Hi friends, family, and followers! Tonight's Daily Nature Fix is about something I've been hearing a lot about on Steemit recently... TRAILS. Now, since I still don't understand a lot about the inner workings of Steemit, or cryptocurrency in general, I have no idea what in the holy hell "trails" are that I've been seeing everyone talk about. So then, I'll post about trails that I DO know: ACTUAL trails! Here are a few of the favorites I've traveled upon.
^^^I've posted a panoramic of this one once upon a time, but not with me actually on it. This is probably the trail with the best vantage point I've ever been on. It is high in the mountains of the Azores, surrounding Sete Cidades. This was definitely one for the record books.
^^^Here is a small glimpse of the trail running through Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley. This was a pretty exciting trek, winding through the relatively narrow gorge that's been smoothed by a millennia of flash flooding. I'll have to make a DNF post featuring just this place at some point. My buddy Steve photobombing in the foreground there.
^^^ This was taken on our #1 most favorite hike within the USA. This was on the way back, returning from Iceberg Lake in Glaicer National Park. How is that for scenery!? There were many "sections" of this 10 mile (round trip) hike that were absolutely breathtaking.
^^^ Actually, here is one of those sections I was just speaking of! This was part of the same trail form the photo above. This was closer to the beginning of the hike and went through this neat little birch meadow with some awesome green undergrowth.
^^^Ending with one of our favorite places in the world. This was the hidden waterfall in Iceland. I have mentioned this in the Daily Nature Fix sometime last year. It was awesome. We only had shitty location hints for this fall from a blog we saw the night before. We were so close to never finding it, so the sense of discovery was super strong. We were there for almost 2 hours and never saw another soul. Unfortunately, it has become more well-known since then, and I doubt we'd have it to ourselves again on our return trip.
Thanks for reading! I post a nature-themed Daily Nature Fix blog every day. Please upvote if you enjoyed it and be sure to follow me so you'll never miss one! See you tomorrow. - Adam
