My friend sent me these photos of the kittens.
I could count four healthy kittens with the fat mother cat resting in the box. I guess that one of the father cat responsible for the cute ginger kitten was the other adopted stray cat in the house. That would be Mr. Som, the orange stray cat who refuses to leave the house and decides to live there with his girl cat and four kittens/children. He is quite a handsome cat with lots of friendly charm. These cats are surprisingly gentle and considerate. My friend told me that they would not disturb him while he’s sleeping. But, once he gets up, they would be crying out for food loudly as if they hadn’t eaten for days. I have warned my friend not to allow his cats to get too fat as they wouldn’t be able to climb trees!
And this was the mother cat two days before her operation!
เพื่อนที่หนองคายส่งข่าวมาว่า เขาพึ่งพาแม่แมวไปหาหมอเพราะมันไม่ยอมคลอดลูก หมอก็บอกว่าถ้าพาแมวมาช้ากว่านี้สองวัน ลูกแมวต้องตายหมดแน่นอน แม่แมวก็เลยต้องให้หมอช่วยผ่าตัดทำคลอดลูกแมว เพื่อนส่งรูปมาให้ดูสองภาพ ตกลงมีลูกแมวสี่ตัว ดูแล้วพ่อแมวตัวหนึ่งคือแมวส้ม ที่เพื่อนได้รับเลี้ยงไว้ที่บ้าน มันต้องเป็นพ่อของลูกแมวสีสัมเหมือนกับมันเลย แต่ต้องมีแมวลายปลาสลิดตัวหนึ่งที่มาเกาะแกะแม่แมวด้วย ตอนนี้อมวตัวนี้ไม่อยู่แล้ว เราก็ดีใจมากที่ลูกแมวปลอดภัยและแม่แมวยอมเลี้ยงลูกแมวด้วยตัวเอง เพราะครั้งแรกที่มันมีลูก ลูกแมวสามตัวตายหมด คราวนี้ลูกแมวและแม่แมวดูดีมาก เราคงได้ไปเยี่ยมลูกแมวตอนมันโตกว่านี้
I am so glad to see this mother cat acting as a normal mother cat and that she’s nursing her kittens. Last time she refused to nurse her three kittens and sat on two of them. All three kittens didn’t survive the ordeal. This time it’s good news and I know my friend must be very happy with successful delivery and four cute kittens. I hope to visit them next month and see how the father cat cope with four kittens.
