Therapy in Photography
When people talk about PhotoTherapy, they're talking about holding up a camera and the satisfaction of that crispy shutter sound in their ears. For me, however, it's completely different.
It's that same feeling you get like a mother's embrace or a relaxing jazz music after such a long day of work.
Although it's both a feeling of satisfaction, PhotoTherapy for me is the satisfaction of stilling a moment that can never happen again in the next waking seconds. It does not only mean holding up your camera before an object and shooting it in frame. It's ten fold times more than that. It's a healing and a mind-cleansing activity that you don't get to feel in just photo"taking".
This photo was taken at Vitalis Beach Resort two summers ago. It was one of those photos that carry me back in time and bring me a peace of mind. It was a serene moment with the stillness of the surroundings and my family enjoying the short moment after the sunset.
