Unlike our 20th century counterpart, police slayings take place privately. Body cams and technology bring us up to speed like 1900 public spectacles. More than likely if we know some american negro, we visited the descendant survivor of an american lynching.
The other day I was pulled over by the police; commonplace for 2019. 15 year old truck, systems failing; $500 just to get one light to work, 4 lights. His explanation to me was, no tag light. I handed him my driver's license. He had not asked for it.
Two exits before he flashed me, but it was 3AM. I did not stop. I did not slow down. Finally he pulled me over, right before my exit approaching from the passenger side of the car. He said I was not in trouble. I began unfolding receipts for light repair. When he stopped talking, he asked me if I had any questions. No sir I replied. I was free to proceed to work. I don't like being pulled over by the police.
