Freestyle Hip Hop Dance Battle Crowning Two Champions Each Year
This is my second time attending the annual Battle @ Buffalo - Under The Lights. It's an event to watch Buffalo grow and expand and maintain it’s roots through different styles of dance, art, food and music. Each year people strive to bring new style and talent that hasn't been seen before as they create dance moves to songs ad lib style. You can view dancers completely in tune with the music creatively responding with each beat and pop of a bass drum or snare.
This year I decided to document it through a mixture of photos and videos. All photos and videos were done by me and edited together from hundreds of photos and hours of video. This is what I consider to be the best of the best.
My favorite event is the two person team battles that pit dancers against each other through a variety of songs and have the judges pick a winner as to who wowed the crowd more. This event draws people from Pittsburg to New York City to Canada, and many places in between.
Without further ado, check out these photos and videos (All taken and edited by me

The guy in the purple shirt won again (AKA "Genocide") win a different partner this year and has some incredible flexible fluidity to his moves. It was another great show and later on there was a B Boy dance competition, but I personally prefer the "All Styles" freestyle dance.
This took quite some time to curate and put together, so this is the reason I haven't been posting as frequently. (Have not hit writer's block one bit.
