Today was a great day for a little campfire and wine. I've had some cedar wood stacked up in my little hunting area down at the lower end of the property for a while. Jamie has been having some stressors at work so I figured this would be a good way to unwind from a long week. I cooked us a nice little dinner with seasoned rice, beans, and eggs, then we made off to a little corner on the land.
I got us a bottle of Yellow Tail Sweet Red. Jamie likes the sweeter wines, but I like them either way. We don't drink a lot, but sometimes it can be a good way to relax from stress. I'm pretty much a lightweight these days so this bottle gave us both a pretty nice little buzz.
Our best little camping buddies came along for the trip also. Jack and Jasmin always love to go exploring with us even if it is just in the backyard. They soon found the best spots in the house, our laps!
We enjoyed a nice fire for a few hours as I slowly stacked more downed limbs on the fire. I'm looking forward to some cooler temperatures soon because these moquitoes have got to go! It seems like no matter what natural products I try I can't keep to seem to get rid of them. We overdressed for the fire to keep the bugs off!
