365 Days - Day 12 - Taking my son to Cars 3

My oldest son Silas (3y) is completely crazy when it comes to vehicles ever since he was born. Race-cars, normal cars, garbage trucks, Freight trucks, trains, airplanes... you name it.

And ever since I have introduced him to the movie Cars a year ago he is the nr. 1 fan of Lightning McQueen (or as he is called here : Bliksem McQeen). Luckily for him there is a large amount of merchandise available for him. So he has a pyjama of McQueen, die-cast cars of the characters etc. etc.

He has memorised both movies and even replays some scenes with his cars. He knows the songs and likes to sing along in the car.

And then several months ago I suddenly came across the first Teaser from Cars 3. I was ecstatic because I could take him for the first time to the Cinema and to a new McQueen movie. He probably saw the teaser and all the trailers a thousand times over. He already knew who was who before he even saw the movie.

So today was the day. We took him to the movie. And he was ready :

So off to the Cinema we went and you could really see the excitement in his eyes and while traveling he was constantly talking about Jackson Storm and Chick Higgs and Cruz Ramirez and when we were almost at the door he even jumped a little saying he couldn't wait to see the movie.

When the movie itself started it was so beautiful to see his face while he was watching the movie. These really are memories I will never forget.

Funny thing though... I never really checked the length of the movie. Apparently it is around 2 hours long..
He has the same attention span as me (practically non-existent) but with this movie is was no problem at all.

And of course... when the movie was finished we searched for a big poster to take a photo :
