I was finally able to track down DC Black Label's "Batman VS. Bigby! Book Four." While the usual cast of characters handled this issue, the plot keeps thickening. When you think you have it all figured out, a new variable takes place. With the wolf cornered, the Robins watch as Batman is pinned down by the wolf. Batman did warn his backup to stand back because he has a surprise up his sleeve. That surprise just happened to be the Reactive Armor built into his suit.
While the onlookers believed Batman just committed suicide by explosion, everyone was shocked to witness Batman walk away unscathed. The wolf doesn't appear to be as lucky! But something miraculous happens as the wolf begins to heal and then take human form, a very familiar one. You can't really call this guy a villain because he had a hand in saving innocent residents during an explosion.
While the caped crusader doesn't trust this wolf-man 100%, he believes they should join together to take down the Bookworm. The story that Batman hears from this half-man is totally unbelievable. This is especially true when the suspect claims to have come from a parallel universe! Meanwhile, the GCPD is planning on bringing every valuable read to the Saint Jerome Society that hasn't been pilfered already. They figured that they could use their Secure Documents Vault. It's easy for our villains to gain access to these areas of interest because they dress as if they were workers from KAFKA, a decontamination service. They also have Mrs. Hugo on the inside. Now, the race is on to find these guys before the situation gets any worse.
