Like week I discovered the auction section on dCity so I had placed my first bid on the item that was up for auction which was a Casino.
I had placed my first bid at 251 SIM for the Casino which I thought was a great bargain. Then I was over bid. Happened on my next two bids as well.
So I placed another bid for 526 SIM, and then another for 576, then another for 651.
Then I reminded myself that if I were to purchase the Casino on the market it would costs 1383 SIM which is 0.449 Swap.Hive so I kept placing bids since it was still over 50% below market price.
So I placed more bids for the Casino. I knew I was going to buy the Casino off the market at some point in the future so why not see if I could get it for a reduced price however all of these bids failed.
I was running late for an appointment so was not going to be able to monitor the bidding for the Casino any longer. I placed one last bid in hopes that it would be enough.
After I got back home, I checked to see if the bidding was still active but I noticed a different item was now in the bidding process but I did not see a refund for my bid amount. I saw this notification instead.
So I was able to get a Casino NFT priced on the market at 1383 SIM for 901 SIM or 65% the cost of just buying the NFT out right. I think I got a very good deal on it.
Reality Hit
This I noticed that the Casino was inactive and I would need to purchase several workers to get it going. A Casino requires 10 Workers. I had a few that were unemployed so I just had to purchase 3 Workers NFT which have two workers on each NFT.
I was so focused on getting the winning bid on the Casino that I was not thinking of the additional things I would need to do to make the NFT active.
Current Income and dCity Map
I always say that you need to start small before you can get big. So far my dCity is small but still growing. My Hive Engine Token Income is growing with my dCity as well.
It is currently:
- WEED (1 Weed Farm) - 0.012
- GAMER (1 Casino) - 0.508
- SIM (SIM holding Rewards) - 8
I would like to keep growing my dCity but need to do some planning to see which direction to head next.
