Well, hello there! If you're following me you might have noticed that I was running a little contest for people who are into video games. After a week has went by, the contest has finally come to a close. I received some really good entries to the contest, which were a hoot to read through. I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who was interested in entering and took the time to actually write out a story and share it with Steemit. I thought this contest would suffice for a good writing prompt, giving the people entering some content that they could share that they may have otherwise not posted. I would say after reading all your stories that it worked pretty well!
I honestly have to say, it was super difficult to actually select the winners for this contest. Like, brutally difficult. I enjoyed all of the stories shared a lot, some of your guys memories even reflected similar experiences I had when I was younger and jogged some things loose in my mind. Others just gave me a few giggles along with a goofy smile as I read through them. So, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for giving me a glimpse into some of your more fond gaming memories. It was really entertaining! But, enough of my yabbering. Lets get on to selecting the top three winners! This required the help of my fiancee (Who's also into gaming), as I really just couldn't decide on only three.
Winners
1:
's entry takes first place with his story of losing a friend over nuclear genocide.
2:
's entry takes second place with his post talking about the living hell that was the Halo ODST Vidmaster challenge. Seriously, screw that damn challenge.
3:
entry takes third place with his confession to being the accomplice of his friend who murdered a set of rugs and towels whilst playing some vidja games.
It was seriously super difficult to pick a winner from the submissions. So much so in fact that I'm going to be sending out a small consolation prize to a few of the other contestants whose stories I really enjoyed. Next time I do a contest, I'll definitely have to set it up where we can have 5 or 6 winners instead of just the 3. Though, hopefully I'll also have more SBD's that I can afford to giveaway :) I also want to give a big shoutout/thank you to and
for resteeming the contest post, which was greatly appreciated. Also, thank you in general to everyone who took the time to enter the contest or even just resteem it for me! You're all awesome in my books!
