Thanks to the tremendous effort and enthusiasm of so many, the Newbie Resteem Initiative is picking up steam (pun intended). :) By the efforts and actions that are being seen over the last 4 days, we are starting to get attention for our cause and larger steemians are being attracted to help. Helping "Newbies" is an issue that all steemians can identify with and the #newbieresteemday hashtag is pulling together so many assets under one roof.
We have so many things in the works right now I could write 5 blog posts a day (which I can't), so we are trying to introduce these programs in a measured and useful (and easy to understand) pace. Today I will be putting out 2 posts because the topics are so different. But please make sure to read both of them because both are very important and merit their own post.
How Would You Like To Have An Experienced "Steemit Personal Mentor" Helping You Directly?
We are proud to present the news that #newbieresteemday and have teamed up in a partnership called "Dear Dawne".
is an accomplished member of our community and she wants to help both the members of the Newbie Resteen Initiative and alse the "newbies" we serve.
Dawne will be regularly participating with us in a program called "Dear Dawne" where she will take comments, look directly at your posts and give you one on one suggestions, (and she will even go through your blog... How's that for being awesome!). Basically she wants to be your mentor and help you with ideas, formatting, access to resources, and even applying for various grants and delegations. Plus you can get "discovered" by a valued and connected member than can help you rise through the ranks!
Quick Facts About Dawne
In just the last two months, Dawne has:
- Become the writer & staff member for
(which if you dont know about it, you should)
- Been delegated 10k SP from a whale- she is a Stewards of Gondor recipient
- Holds weekly, sometimes daily, contests to share the delegation she was awarded and given
- She is a mentor in certain Discord groups and helps incoming new members with formatting, posts and how to succeed
In the mentor program she is involved in... she says "the best reward is knowing and watching the people you partnered up with have their own steemit page and posts blossom and grow".
She is the real deal.
To read more about Dawne check out her past post: Personal Mentoring Statement For Homesteadersonline Community or just go to her steemit page an see the quality of her work and the connections she has.
"Dear Dawne" Is Born And How It Will Work
"Dear Dawne" will open up her schedule and be available to help you individually on the "Dear Dawne" days. She will answer questions, she will offer advice, she will even direct you to the right place if you don't know how to find something on Steemit. This is your chance to connect with a "60" Reputation Steemian on an individual and personal basis.
The way we will roll out this partnership is we will put out a post on the days that Dawne is available and let our members (and the newbies that we serve) know she is available to give you guidance and help. And you just show up to the post and ask your questions to her in the comment section. Its that simple. She will read the comment section and reply individually with you and decide how best to help you from there.
You should be on the lookout for these posts in the very near future, and you can also find them by using the hastags #newbieresteemday and the newly created #deardawne. (Note: these hashtags are vital to finding your way through the ever increasing amount of content on steemit and they are invaluable in finding what you want quickly and efficiently. Learn how to use them, it will improve your efficiency quite a bit.)
So what do you think? If you like this new idea, give Dawne a shout out in the comment section right now. Let her know you value her effort to help us out and also take a minute to quickly introduce yourself. Don't be shy, she is very nice and very approachable. You won't regret it, I promise ;)
ps... to give you an idea of what she thinks about you, let me highlight her introduction to me about our initiative:
"I applaud your dedication, persistence and determination on helping new members advance. All these contests, giveaways, etc of sbd and steem may NOT seem like much, but they do help. I advise all red fish, plankton and minnows (yes, I am still a minnow even with all my accomplishments) to get involved. Help others. Share and strive to go one step further tomorrow. It does pay off. All that hard work and, even, frustration do pay off."
Doesn't that sound like a good partnership to you? :)
As always, be humble and...
