Democratic Socialism has been in the news a lot in America and people that advocate for it don't seem to understand that it is not freedom at all. Democracy is just 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what is for dinner and socialism in the idea that the government should have social programs is force and theft. Neither one of these words has anything to do with freedom.
Capitalism on the other hand is all about freedom. The freedom to transact, the freedom to own property, and the freedom to make choices. Real free-markets would be great if we could get the Government out of it. America is not a capitalistic country we are more like a socialist society with capitalistic tendencies. We have and have had people that have grown our government beyond the scope of what our founding fathers meant it to be. Creating more central control.
When you were growing up did you like you parents micro managing you? I am going to guess probably not. What is the difference between your parents micro managing you and the government micro managing you? Answer is nothing both suck. I guess really the only difference is that your parents actually have your best interest in mind some times but the government only has their interest in mind.
Can you honestly say we don't need more freedom in our lives?
