History of Democratic Party:
The Democratic Party is one of the oldest political party in the United States and among the oldest political parties in the world. It traces its roots to 1792 when followers of Thomas Jefferson adopted the name Republican to emphasize their antimonarchical views. Though the current democratic party of today was Founded on January 8, 1828, by Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren.
Party Ideology:
Democratic Party takes a different stand in the 80's and 90's. Democrats are sometimes referred to as "the Party of the People," attracting immigrants, blue-collar workers, women, and minorities. Democrats tend to take a more liberal stand on important issues. Today's Democrats stand for different ideologies like Open Border, Abolition of ICE, Abortion, Gay Marriage, No Prison, Suppression of FREEDOM OF SPEECH ETC.
History of Republican Party:
The Republican Party began as a coalition of anti-slavery Conscience Whigs and Free Soil Democrats opposed to the Kansas–Nebraska Act, submitted to Congress by Stephen Douglas on March 20, 1854, Ripon, Wisconsin.
Party Ideology:
In general, Republicans tend to take a more conservative stand on issues. They believe that the federal government should not play a big role in people's lives. Most Republicans favour lower taxes and less government spending on social programs. They believe in less government intervention in business and the economy.
Democrat vs Republican:
The main difference between the two parties is, indeed, their political orientation. The Democratic Party is left-leaning, liberal and usually associated with progressiveness and equality. The Republican Party, instead, is right-leaning, traditional and associated with equity and economic freedom and with the idea of “survival of the fittest”.
Given their different origins and opposing political orientations, the two parties clash on a number of fundamental issues such as GUN LAW, TAXES, VOTER ID LAW, ABORTION, SAME SEX MARRIAGE, LIMITATIONS OF GOVERNMENT, IMMIGRATION, DEATH PENALTY, HEALTH CARE, COLLECTIVE VS INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.
Present:
The bitter feelings of the 2016 election have mended majority of Democrats to switch ideology. Presently, the Democratic party has turned out to be the part of OPPOSITION, LEADERLESS AND AGGRESSION. They have made it their utmost mission to oppose every single thing President Trump does... They really do not care about the citizens.
This is the party that is vehemently defending "Strzok" and even suggested giving him Medal of Honour for routing against a Constitutionally elected President. A party that a "Socialist - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez" won as a Democrat Flag bear in New York. A part that has shifted to "Socialism" - demanding for Free Housing, Free Health Care, Free Everything for all, without providing solid fact where the money would come from.
Conclusion:
The Democratic and the Republican Party are the two main forces that have shaped the political scenario of the United States since the 19th century. It is interesting to note that in the past few decades, Democrat and Republican Presidents have been constantly alternating. Such tendency shows that the American society remains deeply divided over key issues.
Furthermore, Should Democrats continue with the same trend, they will not only alienate voters but probably destroy their party and the country at large. Evidence has shown that 98% of the states that are governed by Democratic Party mayors/governors has the lowest standard of living and the residents are suffering from abject poverty.
