i just tried to get a filling done.
i’ve been wanting to get it done since half way through the pandemic. sods law that i eat something all sweet like that just straight up makes it come out, maybe it was a tooth catching it, who knows but you know it’s one of those things that you hope to avoid especially when you don’t know when your gonna be able to get it fixed.
this morning, i went back to an old dentist, i’m “off the books” and once you are off the books here in uk it seems you cannot go back to that place again. i was shocked by this. i know that things have been “privatised” for a very long time now and i’m always expecting shit infrastructure, that’s creeking at the core, that has had the money extracted a long time before but still, you shoot your shot and you take your chance.
so you go private. that’s my plan now, i’m cool with that, i’ll probably get a higher grade experience anyway and look, it’s hard to exist as a human so you do whatever you need to (sometimes) to get what you need to keep your meat sack going. i get it. it’s about survival of the fitnesss, mentally and physically — it’s about being informed and on the ball.

europe has always appealed to me for dentistry work, i’ve been told a few places in europe are super cost effective — turkey, bulgaria, poland maybe — i’m certainly interested as a whole package experience to take a few weeks break somewhere in 2022 and “get that stuff done” as part of the so called “holiday” — part business, part social, part fixing meat sack.
i’d love to hear from other people who have been through a different process outside of the uk, research is fairly straight forward to do for me because i have such a diverse following/community of people i’ve met over the years. i’ve had a polish girlfriend, romanian friends, etc etc, at the end of the day, i’m more in tune with often their day to day plights than the old school fat boy slims of the sit at home british sitting on their phat stacks.
if you were to have dental/dentistry work in the world, where would it be and why, are you private, what’s your experience, have you made this choice when you decided to move country and how did you research, looking for pluses and minuses.
I can handle private here in the uk no problem, but you know, everything is a fast car drive away, with a ferry thrown in between these days so it’s good to know what else is out there! :) hey, crypto friendly too even better eh? :)
Cheers!
Keep Smiling
