Edge Magazines are well-known for Video Games news, updates and reviews. Destiny 2 is featured in this month for Edge Magazine. This means we’ll get to know more news regarding Destiny 2. Well, guess what? We already have. According to this redditor, Destiny 2 will come with way more PvE missions and other activities as compared to Destiny: 1.
Energy Weapons are changed from what we have seen in the beta. Another update was that Nightfalls in Destiny 2 will now have Time Limit – means that player will have a specific amount of time to complete a strike. This will be more challenging and will require a strategy. For example, if Nightfall has a time limit of 15 minutes. Then, you must complete it under 15 minutes else your mission will be failed. It says that:
"Energy Weapons are armaments augmented with Solar, Arc or Void damage. Use them to take down enemy shields, or to more quickly shut down a Guardian’s Super in competitive multiplayer."
This redditor also goes:
‘ The beta did not contain the final implementation of how Energy weapons work against AI combatants with elemental shields; when the shield is depleted, it explodes, nuking any enemies that happen to be nearby’
Nightfall strikes now have a time limit (varying by Strike; one example was 13 minutes) so efficiency and settling on a strategy beforehand will be important
There are over 80 missions and (PVE) activities, and each is substantial in length, challenge, story and reward
There’s so much new content that at one point in development they realized they had more content than progression (something they’ve subsequently fixed)
He also mentions that Hunter class looks very promising. Grenades and Super abilities will charge a lot faster than in beta. This is what Bungie already told us though. We’ve seen a total number of cut-scenes in Destiny 2. According to this, there will be a total number of 80+ PvE missions and activities in the game. New content will be fluent throughout the year.
Team at Edge did play through the story campaign of Destiny 2 and the reviews are pretty sweet. They also said that players will be finding more about The Magician. Some of the new things are still left unspoken. So that the players can find out themselves when the game releases on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
