You must not be partial in judging: hear out the small and the great alike; you shall not be intimidated by anyone, for the judgment is God’s.

Deutung:
- Das war schon immer schwer zu verstehen für mich. "Das Gericht ist Gottes" Das heutige Losungs wort ist eine Anweisung an Richter.(Personen die befugt sind über andere ein Urteil zu sprechen) Sie sollen gerecht sein ohne die Person anzusehen. Personen die Einfluss haben genauso zu richten wie Personen ohne Einfluss.
- So funktioniert im Grunde ein Rechtsstaat.
- Ich habe immer gedacht wenn ich Richter werden würde, könnte ich nicht in Gottes Wort leben. Doch heute verstehe ich das so, dass Richter im Namen Gottes in seiner Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit entscheiden sollen. Gerade wir Christen sollen uns dieser Verantwortung bewusst werden.
- Jesus geht in seiner Bergpredigt sogar noch weiter. Er spricht nicht nur Personen im Richteramtamt an, sondern jeden von uns. Im 2. Vers macht er und deutlich das das Urteil über andere auf uns zurück fällt. Wir alle messen mit einem bestimmten Maß.
- Doch die Worte Jesu lehren uns, darüber nachzudenken, wie es wäre, wenn wir auf der anderen Seite stehen würden. Das bewahrt uns davor, mit doppelten Maß zu messen, und lehrt uns, verantwortlich mit unserem Urteil gegenüber anderen Menschen umzugehen.

- But the words of Jesus teach us to think about what it would be like if we were on the other side. This prevents us from measuring ourselves with double standards and teaches us to be responsible in our judgement of others.
