So manchen Freitag habe ich mir einen Beta Boosterpack gegönnt, ihn geöffnet und drüber geschrieben was drin war. Das geht jetzt nicht mehr, denn die Boosterpacks sind ausverkauft (Zum Schluß haben noch mal alle zugeschlagen, in der Hoffnung auf langfristig steigende Preise.)
Many a Friday I bought a Beta Boosterpack, opened it and wrote about its contents. That's not possible anymore, because the boosterpacks are sold out (at the end a lot of people bought en masse, speculating for rising prices.)
Aber da ist doch der Kickstarter? Genau, gestern ging ein neuer Steemmonster-Kickstarter online. Ach nein, das heißt jetzt ja Splinterlands. Irgendwann gewöhne ich mich mal dran. Habe ich da gleich zugeschlagen? Nun, zumindest habe ich es mir gleich angeschaut. Beim ersten Kickstarter, vor 13 Monaten, hatte ich mir die kleinste Stufe zu 25 US$ gegönnt - was gab es denn jetzt zu haben? Schließlich wird mein "Fond für unnütze Ausgaben" jeden Monat wieder gefüllt.
But there's the Kickstarter, right? Exactly, yesterday a new Steemmonster Kickstarter went online. Oh no, that's called Splinterlands now. Someday I'll get used to it. Did I buy from there right away? Well, at least I looked at it immediately. At the first Kickstarter, 13 months ago, I had allowed myself the smallest tier for 25 US$ - what's on offer now? After all, my "fund for useless expenses" is replenished every month ;)
Tja, wie soll ich es sagen... Anscheinend wollen alle anderen Steemmonsters-Spieler "Gedöns" haben. Devotionalien. Aufkleber und T-Shirts. Die Sammelkarten "in echt". Jedenfalls gibt es kein Angebot dort ohne "physische Belohnung" (bis auf den Starterpack incl. Account zum halben Normalpreis). Die damit verbundenen Verwaltungs- und Versandgebühren verdoppeln den Preis des ersten Angebots mit Packs (zu 10$) und auch zwei Angebote höher kommen dadurch noch einmal 20% zum Preis dazu.
Well, how shall I put it? Apparently all the other Steemmonsters players want to have "stuff". Devotional objects. Stickers and T-shirts. The trading cards "in real". Anyway, there is no offer without "physical reward" (except for the starter pack incl. account at half the normal price). The associated administrative and shipping fees double the price of the first offer with packs ($10) and the next two offers have a fee that increases the price by approx. 20%.
Ein anderer Aspekt: Im September 2018 gab es neben den Kartenpacks noch "kickstarter-exklusive Karten". Und jetzt? Im Kickstarter-Angebot ist davon nur andeutungsweise die Rede. Dafür werden als Stretchgoals noch mehr Sticker avisiert. Sorry, das ist mir keine zusätzlich 10$ wert.
Another aspect: In September 2018 there were "kickstarter-exclusive cards" in addition to the card packs. And now? The Kickstarter offer only refers to this in a vague way. But even more stickers are announced as stretch goals. Sorry, that's not worth an additional $10 to me.

Aber glücklicherweise kann man ja Packs im Spiel "vorbestellen" und das wird auch schon eifrig getan - denn es wird einen "Air Drop" geben unter den Käufern der ersten hunderttausend Packs: zufällig werden Exemplare einer neuen, hochwertigen Karte verteilt.
Fortunately you can "pre-order" packs in the game and this is already being done eagerly - because there will be an "Air Drop" among the buyers of the first hundred thousand packs. Well, more like a raffle: by chance you will get a new, high-quality card.
Anscheinend haben wohl einige über den Kickstarter gejammert, vielleicht war es auch nur zu gut im Kleingedruckten versteckt - denn Monster-Papa Aggroed hat gestern schon im Discord kundgetan dass natürlich auch Packs ohne den Kickstarter, über die Steemmonsters-Seite, gekauft werden könnten - aber nur über den Kickstarter würde es eine zusätzliche hochwertige Karte geben welche sie bald vorstellen würden.
Apparently some people were yammering about the Kickstarter, maybe it was just too well hidden in the small print - because Monster-Papa Aggroed already announced yesterday via Discord that of course packs could be bought without the Kickstarter, via the Steemmonsters page - but only with the Kickstarter there would be an additional high quality card which they would present soon.
Aber ob diese Karte die 10$ zusätzliche Kosten wert ist? Ich weiß es nicht... Gut, dann hätte ich noch Stickerchen. Oder wenn ich das nächste Angebot nehme (zu 50$ insgesamt) noch ein T-Shirt. Ihr merkt, ich bin überwältigt vor Begeisterung... Ich weiß es nicht - mal warten bis noch mehr Infos kommen. Aber wenn es so weiter geht, dann sind morgen schon die 100k weg...
But is this card worth the $10 extra cost? I don't know... Well, then I would still have the stickers. Or if I take the next offer (at $50 in total) another T-shirt. You notice, I am overwhelmed with enthusiasm... I don't know - perhaps I will wait until more information comes. But if it goes on like this, then tomorrow the 100k will be gone...
