Today, my tour will guide you around the monkeys, apes and primates. These fellows are so close to us humans, that we feel with them and try to read their expressions. Most of the time they look sincere or sad to us, I was explained, that this is just an impression, and that it's easy to dismiss this impression by simply watching them. They eat, they play, they have sex. No "sad" animal would do that. Still...
Heute möchte ich euch auf meiner Tour weiter zu den Affen, Äffchen und Primaten führen. Diese Kerlchen sind uns Menschen so ähnlich, daß wir dazu neigen ihnen unsere aus Mimik bekannten Gefühle zuzuordnen. Meist sehen Affen für uns ernst oder gar traurig aus. Mir wurde erklärt, dass dies aber reine Einbildung sei und daß es leicht sei durch reine Beobachtung diese Einbildung zu überwinden. Die Affen essen, spielen und haben Sex. Kein "trauriges" Tier würde das tun. Trotzdem...

2 girls taking care of their males hairdo. Looks a little bit like paradise and reminds me of a song by the beach boys from 1963.
2 Weibchen kümmern sich hingebungsvoll um die Frisuren ihrer Männchen. Für mich sieht das ein wenig nach Paradies aus und erinnert mich an einen Beach Boys Song von 1963.
Most of the time these animals are about to make fun of themselves or of me... at least thats an impression (sorry for this quality, but the situation is so cute, that I had to include this, too)
Die meiste Zeit machen die Tiere sich über sich selbst oder über mich lustig... zumindest ist so der Eindruck ( sorry für diese Qualität, aber die Situation war so süss, dass ich sie einfach hier einfügen musste)

Back to what I said at the beginning... there is so much expression we can read in these faces and body language. So much dignity.
Zurück zu was ich am Anfang sagte... da ist soviel Ausdruck in diesen Gesichtern und der Körpersprache. So viel Würde.
Tenderness...
Zärtlichkeit
Pride
Stolz
Sadness
Traurigkeit
... and somehow thoughtfulness
... und in gewisser Weise Nachdenklichkeit
