Walking on a mountain is for free. I’ve never seen a mountain you have to pay for hiking there. Of course you have to pay for some streets, for parking or for using a lift. Additional you need a little bit of equipment even for normal hiking. Good hiking shoes, a wind jacket and breathable clothes e.g.. A backpack for water, food, a first aid set and so on.
But the mountains itself are always for free AND priceless.
That means if you are once equipped - you can have a very cheap weekend or holiday in the mountains with the hole family.

Bergwandern ist umsonst. Ich habe zumindest noch nie einen Berg gesehen, an dem du fürs Wandern bezahlen musst. Natürlich musst du für manche Bergpässe zahlen, fürs Parken auch oder wenn du einen Lift nutzen magst. Außerdem brauchst du auch zum normalen Bergwandern ein wenig an Ausrüstung. Gute Wanderschuhe, eine Windjacke und atmungsaktive Kleidung zum Beispiel. Außerdem ein Rucksack für Wasser, Essen, ein erste Hilfe Set und so weiter.
Aber die Berge selbst sind genauso kostenlos wie unbezahlbar.
Das bedeutet, wenn du einmal ausgestattet bist - kannst du ein sehr günstiges Wochenende oder Urlaub mit der ganzen Familie in den Bergen verbringen.
