Snowdrops in early spring
Although it is only in a few weeks the official beginning of spring, but in nature you can already see the early spring. Especially the small plants with the white hanging heads catch my eye. These are called snowdrops, they belong to the flowering plants, more precisely to the bulbous plants, and they bloom already at the end of each winter. There are about 20 species worldwide.
For a healing supportive use, they can help with heart ailments, however, are somewhat toxic. Since snowdrops do not have their own natural habitat, they grow almost everywhere and are protected by law. That is, you can not just pick them or even pull out together with the bulb root. So enjoy their sight, they usually bloom from October to April depending on the variety and some can grow up to 35 cm high.

Schneeglöckchen im Vorfrühling
Zwar ist erst in ein paar Wochen der offizielle Frühlingsanfang, doch in der Natur kann man schon den Vorfrühling sehen. Besonders die kleinen Pflanzen mit dem weißen hängendem Köpfchen fallen mir da auf. Diese heißen Schneeglöckchen, sie gehören zu den Blütenpflanzen, genauer genommen zu den Zwiebelgewächsen und blühen schon an Ende jedes Winters.
Es gibt weltweit um die 20 Arten. Für eine heilende unterstützenden Anwendung können sie bei Herzleiden helfen, allerdings sind etwas giftig. Da Schneeglöckchen keinen eigenen Naturstandort haben wachsen sie fast überall und stehen unter Naturschutz. Das heißt man darf sie nicht einfach so pflücken oder gar samt Zwiebelwurzel heraus ziehen. Also genießt ihren Anblick, sie blühen je nach Sorte meist von Oktober bis in den April hinein und manche können bis zu 35 cm hoch werden.
