Hello Everyone,
I had my first Covid jab back in May and I really suffered with side affects. You can catch my experience here. My second one was fine. I had absolutely no side affects at all. However, the booster was a different story...
My first two jabs was the AstraZeneca one. My booster was Pfizer. I had it done this month one Sunday afternoon. I knew I was going to expect some pain. A couple of hours after having it done, my arm started to ache. This was to be expected. Later on that evening my arm felt like I had done a really bad push up or pull up on it. I struggled to move it and I definitely struggled to sleep with it. I had to get a pillow and lay my arm on it.
The next day I felt rotten! I had the worst night's sleep. I woke up at 4:30am wanting to throw my guts up. I felt so nauseous. I had headache, no energy, no appetite (that in itself is unheard of for me as I'm constantly thinking about food). I had a stabbing chest pain that felt like a stitch that was coming and going on my right side. This lasted all day. I had the same stabbing pain in my right quad and both of my wrists. Considering I workout daily and I am fit and healthy, this was not the reaction I was expecting. I did nothing all day and all I could stomach was cheese on toast.
The next day all of that went. I was able to get up and do my workout. However, I came to my stretching and cooldown and it all changed. Whilst doing my cooldown, I felt dizzy and I struggled to hold balance. I then went to stretch on the floor. Oh my God! The room was spinning and it made me feel sick. It was like I had been heavily drinking the night before. It was horrible. I barely drink alcohol. After I was done, I got into the shower. I started to feel better. It was only when I started washing my hair that the room started to soon again and I had to stop and hold onto the wall to balance myself. I felt so sick again. Needless to say I didn't do anything but rest afterwards.
Thankfully I was fine on the third day. The only thing that I did notice was two days after suffering I had the worst insomnia. I had about four hours broken sleep in two days. I didn't even want to sleep during the day. It took me about a week to get my sleep pattern back to normal. I don't ever want to experience all that again.
Again, I hope this helps. I hope my experience doesn't put you off from getting the booster as everyone is different. I just wanted to share my experience. Fingers crossed we can all get on with our lives soon.
