This drawing by two friends is, as usual, dedicated to one of the beautiful and fantastic cards in the game. I was inspired by the musical instrument E131 Crumhorn. This is a wind instrument that stands out for its curious shape; it's almost like a knight's cane from the past. In practice, it's related to flutes. To play it, you blow into one end, and the inner reed creates the music. The twisted, J-shaped bottom is a design choice.
You could already see a preview of the finished drawing in the cover photo. But now I'm going to show you step by step how I created it from the beginning; that will be much more fun than just seeing the final result. To begin, I drew the card's frame, which acts as the canvas since everything else will go inside it.
Next, I drew one side of the Crumhorn, which you can see in one of the screenshots. Starting with one side helped me design the approximate size in Adobe Illustrator. Once I had that side done, I only had to draw the other side and then the complete body.
In the next step, I drew the internal divisions of the Crumhorn, so you can clearly see each area of the instrument. I also drew the mouthpiece at the top.
Painting the entire sketch I had just created was the next step. The predominant color I chose was brown; I chose it because the chart is brown and it seemed ideal. Following that, I drew the inner background in blue, and the Crumhorn is made up of various shades of brown. See how it turned out step by step.
To finish, I'll show you the result of the completed drawing. With that, we say goodbye for today. Blessings to all.
