Colleagues, I hope you are having a wonderful day and that all your dreams are coming true. Today, I bring you my new drawing. I have dedicated it to card i130: The Ukulele. As you can see, this is a Common card, belonging to the "Instruments" section. The ukulele is a type of guitar, but much smaller than conventional ones. Its sound is quite different from that of Spanish guitars. Well, I have personally played a ukulele, so I can certainly offer an opinion on the matter.
That said, the fact that I’ve played one doesn't mean I actually know how to make music with it. I merely strummed the strings when a friend lent me theirs. Throughout my life, I’ve seen quite a few of them. But, obviously, I haven't just seen them in person; I’ve also seen them in many movies and heard them in songs—especially those related to Hawaii or the music of that state. Apparently, this instrument is a traditional staple there and is played during cultural dances. To create this drawing, I first sketched out the card's frame.
With the framework ready, I proceeded to draw the ukulele itself. First, I drew the neck; later, I would add the strings and other details. Next, I drew the body of the little guitar. Although it looks large in the photos, it is actually quite small.
During the detailing stage, I added the tuning pegs atop the headstock—that is, the section located at the very tip of the neck.
Now, friends, the painting process begins. As you can see, I used various shades of brown for the card itself, along with some shades of blue for the frame and background. It would be best if you saw how I painted it all for yourselves; it’s much more fun to watch than to read about.
And to wrap things up, here is the final result. I hope you enjoyed it! Blessings to you all.
