Many blessings to all. I hope you're having a great weekend, friend. In this new drawing, I'll show you how I drew one of the flutes from the game Rising Star, I'm referring to the i231 Blue Penny Whistle. As you can see, it's a very nice, common flute with a chromed metal body. I really enjoyed drawing and painting it, and in this post, I'm going to show you how I did it from beginning to end so you can enjoy it too.
Okay, to start the drawing, I began by making what would be the inner frame of the card. If you notice, I drew this frame slightly differently than the ones I've done before; this one is more slightly curved at the ends. The design I usually use is more rectangular with less curved ends. But today I wanted to experiment with something different, and that's what I came up with. You can tell me later if you liked this one better or the usual one.
Okay, after finishing that part, I drew the body of the flute. It's long and narrow. It wasn't very complicated to make; its shape is simple. After finishing it, I drew a protrusion on top of the body, which would be the mouthpiece of the flute. This is the part where the flautist would blow air to play the instrument.
The next step is the most fun of all: painting. As you'll see in the following screenshots, I painted everything in this order. I started by painting what would be the background of the card, that is, the area surrounding the frame on the outside. I chose yellow for that part. For the frame itself, I chose blue. The inner background, the one inside the frame, I painted in various shades of blue. And to finish, I painted the flute a chrome-colored metallic gray. The final step in painting was adding the aesthetic details, such as the holes for controlling the airflow and the mouthpiece.
And to say goodbye for today, here's the finished drawing. See you here tomorrow with a new drawing! Blessings to all, have a lovely day.
