Blessings once again, everyone. You know, it's been a long time since I last drew a legendary card from the game, so today I chose one to inspire my drawing. It's the L29 Stradivarius. As you can see, this is a musical instrument, a Stradivarius violin. This violin isn't fictional; it's real. In fact, it's considered one of the best classical violins in existence. The best ones can cost millions of dollars, and many of them are in museums.
Personally, when I hear the word Stradivarius, what comes to mind is a mission in the game Fallout where you have to help someone recover their Stradivarius violin. Seeing it today in Rising Star brought back good memories of when I used to play Fallout. So, knowing this, I'm now going to show you how I made this drawing step by step. To begin, I drew what would be the inner frame of the card, and it turned out like this.
After drawing the frame, I sketched the neck of the violin, the long, extended part. Next to it, I drew the body of the violin in its classic acoustic shape.
In the details section, I added the pegbox above the neck with its four pegs. Each peg represents a string, since the violin has four strings. I also drew the lower string rest and the decorative elements on the body of the violin. With that, the sketch is finished.
Next came the painting. As you can see, I used a deep purple for the outer background of the card. This is the predominant color of the original card, so I used it here as well. For the frame, I used orange. The inner background is a combination of light green around the Stradivarius and deep orange for the inner background. Finally, I painted the violin itself, a combination of orange and gray.
And to finish the drawing, I added the violin strings and one of the tuning forks in the center. I liked the final result.
To say goodbye, here's the completed drawing. See you in the next one, blessings to all.
