Hey everyone! As you may have noticed these past few days, I've been sharing some drawings of rare and epic microphones. Today, I'm continuing with this theme of cards from the game, so for this drawing, I chose the R503 FT Custom card. The microphone depicted on this card is quite beautiful, with touches of silver and various shades of yellow. It has several subtle reflections on its surface, which I also tried to capture in the drawing. As always, you can tell me in the comments if I managed to capture the essence of the original card, lmao.
Let's get to the drawing, since that's probably what you're all eager to see. First, I opened the IbisPaint app to create the card's outline, just the inside. This outline is made up of two squares, which together form the frame. I always call it a frame because it's like framing a photo, and that's because the drawing in the middle is essentially a frame, hence the name. Take a look at how it turned out.
In the center of the drawing, I drew a cylinder; this would be the main body of the microphone and its largest part. It's the central part. Next, I painted the area on top of the cylinder for the top of the microphone, which is where you would speak and where the voice is picked up. And at the bottom, I drew a stand to hold the microphone. In real life, that small area would be used to attach a cable or screw the microphone to a tripod.
In terms of details, what I mainly did was add several internal divisions, as usual. There were several, each one defining an area so that it could be observed more clearly.
With the sketch finished, I could finally start painting. As you'll see below, this is how I painted everything. Notice the shades of yellow I used on the microphone; some are for highlights, while others are for shadows. I took this as an example from the original card. I liked the effect. It's best if you see the other steps for yourselves in the screenshots.
And now, folks, here's the drawing ready to show you. As you can see, it's finally finished. That's all for today. I'll see you in my next drawing. Blessings.
