Hi fellow steemians, hope you're doin' fine wherever you are guys. Here I am again doing art. And it's really fun doing this kind of thing.
I haven't posted any drawing lately because I'm busy practicing on digital arts. I really wanted to enhance my skills in this field although I still have much to learn and far far from being better. I guessed!
I'm still in the learning stage as I am getting myself familiarized with the process and the techniques.
I Will share with you guys this shadow version of Son Gokou using Photoshop.
This is the finish product
Photoshop is my medium because this is the only tool I am familiar with when it comes to editing and coloring.
I wanted to master this before I will jump out to try the other tools available out there.
Now I will share with you how I made this art.
I only used photoshop in the whole process.
I directly draw the whole picture using the pen tool in photoshop because I guess shadowing doesn't require a lot of details.
You only have to know where you are going to shade the black and white parts of the image and the rest would be just easy as popcorn.. LOL!
I started drawing the shape of the face, the ears and some part of the hair.
Then the eyebrow and the eye
Then I continue drawing the hair with the pen tool.
I'm using pen tool because it is very handy when it comes drawing with curves. What I do is tracing it first with dots from the pen tool then after that, I right click it and selecting the brush tool to take the stroke this will do the magic in highlighting the drawing as you see in the picture.
Adding some parts including the neck and adding more hair.
adding more details in the face to make it ready for shading
Now time for the shadow effect. Coloring first the hair
then the half of the face
I guess for me this is the easiest part because you only have to click the paint bucket tool to color all the necessary parts for the shadow. Just know where to put the black shade to give the best result.
Coloring other necessary parts
Here is the final result after adding my steemit username at the side
The finish product after saving as jpeg
HERE I ADD GIF ANIMATION SHOWING THE ART PROGRESS FROM BEGINNING TO LAST
