Ayer capturé la mirada de mi pequeño niño de 3 años en una foto, y al verla pensé: ¿por qué no pintarla?

I'm still here, walking the long path of learning. I'm practicing different styles of digital illustration, trying to figure out which one is truly mine.
Yesterday, I captured the gaze of my little 3-year-old boy in a photo, and when I saw it, I thought: why not paint it?

La verdad, estoy bastante contenta, ya que es la primera vez que hago una ilustración realista.
La imagen original se enfoca en la zona de los ojos y solo una parte del rostro, capturando detalles como las pestañas, cejas y la textura de la piel.
Cuando empecé, en mi mente el desafío eran las sombras y los tonos de la piel, pero mi mano se fue soltando con cada trazo y logré alcanzar la similitud.
Lo que sí se volvió un verdadero reto fue hacer las pestañas. No sé por qué, pero fue lo más complicado de toda la obra. Después de varios intentos, pude pintarlas de una forma más acertada.

Honestly, I’m quite happy, as this is the first time I’ve done a realistic illustration.
The original image focuses on the eye area and just a portion of the face, capturing details like the eyelashes, eyebrows, and skin texture.
At first, I thought the main challenge would be the shadows and skin tones, but my hand gradually loosened with each stroke, and I was able to achieve a good likeness.
What truly became a challenge was painting the eyelashes. I’m not sure why, but it was the most difficult part of the whole piece. After several attempts, I was finally able to paint them more accurately.

Sin más, me despido. Me encantaría que me hicieran llegar diferentes opiniones o apreciaciones sobre esta ilustración.
