Digital Art Contest Round #1 Theme for Round #2 ~ "Awesome Autumn Art."
Announcing the WINNER of the first Digital Art Contest Round #1
CONGRATULATIONS on your wonderfully innovative and VERY unique Heron Image!!!
This week has flown past and the highlight for me has been watching all the entries come in for this new #digitalartcontest but more importantly, I have been very encouraged to read many enthusiastic comments from the participants. Their sense of adventure was a joy to witness especially as there were a number of Steemians who had not tried this art form previously.
So, not only do I congratulate Erika for her great entry, I congratulate everyone who helped kick start this contest off by creating images abundant in colour, flare and panache. I have to say, that I was truly excited to see the entries as I wasn't sure what level of interest a digital art contest would generate. Now I know.
Here is Erika's entry!
My only regret, is that I am not (yet) in a position to offer 2nd or 3rd prizes. There were so many superb entries which made my job of choosing a winner extremely difficult. As this contest grows, it will be a pleasure to increase the prizes. I need to mention that 2 or 3 entries were disqualified from the contest as the rules were not adhered to, so please read them carefully to avoid disappointment next time.
A big "THANK YOU" to all who promoted this contest and I look forward to seeing what you think of this next one. (Details below)
The theme for this week is "AWESOME AUTUMN ART." So, let me introduce you to another Photo editing site that you may not have used yet. I love many of their filters and effects and they provide a huge range which is bound to increase your digital art addiction even more. It is called Photo Face Fun, but it isn't just about faces. Let me show you.
When you get there, click on the link I circled in yellow.
Then click on "Photo Effects."
N.B.You may use any editing site you wish and any subject. I have given you the Photo Face Fun site because it has a ton of fabulous edits and it is very easy to use. It is also quick to download. I have chosen a Light House for my subject. Then I have chosen four different effects to give you some examples of what I will be looking for. They all feature the season of Autumn.
This is my original photo. Feel free to download it to use it for this contest if you would like to.
Here are three of the autumn themed effects I have used.
And here is a collage of four images that have been created from my original lighthouse photo. N.B. Please do not ask me what a lighthouse is doing in the middle of a forest because I will be obliged to come up with an answer that would most likely be very unsatisfactory. (lol) Digital art is all about creative imagination...….and I have more than my share of imagination.
Now, lets get down to business. Here Are The Rules For This Contest.
Any photos you use to apply digital effects to MUST be your own original photos and taken by yourself.
Only two entries per contest. Include both in the same post to make judging easier AND your original template photo.

In the interests of being fair to all participants, your entries will be disqualified if these rules are not adhered to.
There will be one winning prize of 1 SBD per contest. This prize will increase if there is enough interest in the contest and naturally I will introduce 2nd and 3rd prizes as soon as it is viable for me to do so.
