A Seeing Eye Dog

No really...I mean a REAL seeing eye dog.
I mean suppose you could SEE through the eyes of a dog.
The following is pure speculation..but base upon current technology
the eye
the optic nerve and the brain.
SUPPOSE
Just suppose that tiny electrodes could be attached to the optical nerves.
(been done)
further suppose that the electrodes were rilly, rilly tiny and were attached to each and every filament in the nerve
The optic nerve is kinda complex.
it's not just ONE nerve so much as a bundle.
Kinda like a fiber optic cable.
A whole lotta tiny little nerves inside.
Suppose that tiny electrodes could be attached to each and every one of them.
on the receive side (the human) the wires from the electrodes would go to a receiver..
(somewhere on or in the head)
the receiver would pickup a bluetooth signal
From a transmitter in the dog.
Same thing with the dog...tiny wires from the TRANSMITTER
connect to tiny electrodes in the optic nerve bundle.
What would happen then?
I suspect that with a 'little' work.
You could see thru the eyes of the dog.
We can see thru the camera of a drone can't we?
This is just an extension of present technology.
Note: I've simplified EXTREMELY
but I'm fairly certain it can be done.
