Ganoderma boninense is a group of white rot fungi, this fungus is lignolytic Therefore, this fungus has a higher activity in degrading lignin than any other group. The components of the plant cell wall are lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose. The fungus G. boninense derived primary energy from cellulose, after lignin was degraded, but carbohydrates such as starch and pectin, were obtained even in small amounts.
