Distinctive Doors - The Chrysler Building's Elevator in NYC

Sticking with the Chrysler building in New York, I decided to drop another distinctive doors post, the tag started by Hive account@tattoodjay. Check out this Elevator door. It is truly a one of a kind design. The triangular 'up' light above it is classic art deco design but the door to the Elevator is something else entirely. I mean, its still art deco but taken to a whole new level. That is inlaid wood of 8 different types of exotic woods. Given that this was built in 1928 the maintenance to keep it in this good condition must be not only expensive, but painstaking.

When I saw this door, I knew I had to gran a shot for distinctive doors!
